Role Summary
Test Plan Manager – EE System Integration Validation is responsible for managing EE Test Plan for the new Model Year Vehicle program, estimating validation Budget, number of Test properties, developing DVP&R (Test Plan), monitoring and tracking software/hardware maturity, preparing and reporting Validation KPIs. He /She also monitor defects for closure by working with Component owners and Design Release Engineers.
Key Responsibilities
Develop Validation Plan (DVP&R) for EE & schedule test property usage
Work with EE Project Team to fulfill the test property needs for EE
Determine the Integration Points / testing loops & manage s/w updates
Order and manage Test Properties including Test vehicles for EE usage
Order/Plan EE parts and Vehicles for System bench/PWB and Uconnect validation.
Build Plywood buck with a support of technical team and suppliers
Perform basic functional checks on EE test properties
Keep the master ECU chart
Develop and maintain the Plywood Buck & System Bench BOM
Report Test results as defined in DVP&R
To manage the test plan progress, glide path and score cards, using tools like “PSI” and “MAPS” or equivalent tools
Required Skills
Good experience in Project Planning, Budgeting and reporting in managing validation activities.
Good knowledge of CAN, CAN FD, LIN, Automotive Ethernet, and UDS.
Experience with Vector tools (CANoe, CANalyzer).
Good understanding on Automotive /Passenger Car Electrical systems, Diagnostics, ECUs and Vehicle domains.
Prior experience as a Test Plan manager in Tier-1, Engineering Service or Automotive OEM
Good in KPI reporting
Familiar with DOORS, SVN, RTC and defect life cycle.
Strong problem‑solving and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and good decision making.
Experience & Qualification
8- 10 years of experience in Automotive System Validation in OEM or Tier-1 or Engineering Service Org.
B.E. / B.Tech in Embedded Systems / Electronics /Electrical (or equivalent)
