Position Summary
The Test Engineer Tech II supports product validation, troubleshooting, and quality assurance activities for manufacturing, engineering, or production operations. This role performs testing procedures, analyzes test data, maintains test equipment, and collaborates with the engineering team to ensure products meet quality and performance standards.
Responsibilities
Perform functional, electrical, mechanical, or system-level testing on products and components
Execute established test procedures and document results accurately
Troubleshoot test failures and assist in root cause analysis
Support engineers in developing and improving test methods and processes
Maintain, calibrate, and operate testing equipment and tools
Analyze test data and prepare technical reports or summaries
Assist with product validation, qualification, and reliability testing
Ensure compliance with company quality standards and safety procedures
Work closely with manufacturing, quality, and engineering teams to resolve issues
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance testing efficiency and product quality
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Associate degree or technical certification in Engineering Technology, Electronics, Mechanical Technology, or related field preferred
2+ years of experience in testing, manufacturing, quality, or engineering support
Basic understanding of test equipment, diagnostic tools, and troubleshooting techniques
Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and specifications
Experience with data collection and reporting tools such as Excel or testing software
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Good communication and teamwork abilities
Ability to work independently with moderate supervision
Preferred Skills
Familiarity with automated test systems or manufacturing environments
Knowledge of quality systems and standards (ISO, Six Sigma, Lean, etc.)
Experience with electronic, mechanical, or software testing environments
Basic programming or scripting knowledge is a plus
Work Environment
Manufacturing, laboratory, or production environment
May require standing for extended periods and handling testing equipment
