Job Description
The Test Engineer IV is a senior technical leader who develops and executes testing strategies for complex, high-reliability RF systems. They design advanced automated test solutions to ensure product performance, quality, and compliance from R&D through production, working closely with cross-functional teams. The role involves hands-on testing, data analysis, and troubleshooting, while also driving automation improvements (e.g., using LabVIEW) to enhance efficiency and scalability. Additionally, they mentor junior staff, oversee test equipment use and calibration, and help align testing practices with company goals.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute test plans to create comprehensive test plans for RF systems and components.
Perform RF testing to use advanced test equipment such as spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and signal generators.
Analyze test data to provide detailed reports on performance, quality, and reliability.
Troubleshoot and debug by identifying and resolving issues in RF systems and components.
Support new product development to lead the test engineering function for new product and R&D projects from product concept to launch.
Maintain test equipment by calibrating and maintaining test equipment to ensure accurate measurements.
Develop automated test scripts to improve testing efficiency through automation utilizing LabView and related software platforms.
Lead company-wide test automation initiatives: Work with counterparts throughout engineering and production to develop and implement world-class test automation hardware and software solutions.
Provide technical leadership to other test engineers.
Experience
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field
Minimum eight (8) years of experience in a specialized functional discipline.
OR (12) years of experience may be considered in lieu of a Bachelors Degree.
OR (6) years of experience may be considered w/ a Masters Degree.
OR (3) years of experience may be considered w/ a PhD.
Strong working knowledge of Automation Test Software, particularly LabView.
Demonstrated experience with RF systems and signal chain design.
Ability to obtain and/or maintain a Security Clearance.
