Job Title: Test Engineer
Summary: Depending on the product, the Test Engineer may use different criteria to check quality, such as functionality, durability, and safety. Test Engineer will thoroughly check procedures and mechanical systems to ensure that customers get high quality, functional products. Test Engineer shall run tests on various components and systems to identify and fix technical issues. Ultimately, the Test Engineer ensures our final products meet safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities: As the Test Engineer you will:
Gather product requirements, (e.g., functionalities, durability standards and safety standards).
Develop test environments and test cases for all mechanical systems.
Analyze test results, detect issues, and track root causes.
Suggest fixes and improvements.
Ensure products and procedures meet industry standards.
Manage multiple test projects simultaneously from concept to on time completion.
Develop and write test laboratory procedure/results based on test standard.
Develop new test fixture designs from concept through production utilizing 2D and 3D CAD software. This includes development of production drawings, materials selection, structural analysis, and collaborating with customers.
Utilize Engineering Vault/PDM to properly maintain Engineering drawings and models.
Run 3D Printers, including setup and post processing/cleanup.
Work closely and communicate with various Engineering divisions and business departments.
Assist with installation and troubleshooting of products in the field or at customer sites.
Travel (10-20%) to attend third party test facility to review test set-up and witness testing.
Communicate effectively with engineers and other team members.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product and process efficiencies.
Promote a culture of safety and adhere to HSE regulations.
Work directly with vendors to ensure incoming parts meet all specifications and standards.
Support customers, sales, production, vendors, and engineering.

You’re a great fit for this position if this describes you;
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
Entry level to 3 years of experience in a test engineering role.
Basic knowledge of manufacturing concepts.
Able to read engineering drawings including weld symbols and GD&T
Ability to compile information for test reports and decision making.
Proficient in current computer software: Microsoft (PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Outlook).
Experience with 3D CAD (Solidworks and EPDM).
Experience with data acquisition system (LabView is preferred and MATLAB is beneficial).
Understanding of MRP or ERP system; Syteline (Infor) experience a plus.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to respond and adapt to change favorably and quickly.
Ability to carry out assigned projects with minimal supervision.
Familiarity with various testing techniques.
Basic knowledge of Empirical and Metric hardware.
Hands-on experience with tools required and experience with shop equipment is beneficial.
Analytical mindset with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues.
Ability to comprehend test standards and regulations.
Follow verbal and written instructions, directions and other communication in English.
Must have current passport.
