Must be a US Citizen possessing a Secret or higher security clearance
This role will be performed onsite in Huntsville, AL.
Summit TRC is seeking a highly motivated Test Engineer to join our team. This role will help maintain and test new products for UAS platforms. The ideal candidate will bring a foundation in Operating Systems, software testing, and a passion for new technologies.
Responsibilities
Perform software and hardware testing of components of complex drone platforms
Coordinate and directs engineering activities concerned with the development of necessary test tools and methods
Determine conditions under which tests are to be conducted and sequences and phases of test operations (i.e., test planning)
Direct and exercise control over operational, functional, and performance phases of tests
Perform levels of software testing and code scanning to ensure quality and reliability across the software lifecycle
Use Linux command line extensively for testing, automation, and data handling
Collaborate with other Engineering teams and technical stakeholders to troubleshoot issues, resolve testing problems, and ensure continuity of support and development
Collect and summarizes test data to report on system verification and validation activities
Optimize system performance and security
Maintain excellent technical documentation hygiene
Maintain cybersecurity best practices
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree in a relevant field
Active security clearance
Experience working with Windows and Linux Operating Systems and executing commands in the CLI
Understanding of virtualization tools and hypervisors
Understanding of scripting languages such as Bash and Python
Ability to work with external customers or stakeholders in a clear and professional manner
Ability to identify a problem and find the solution
