Role Overview

The selected candidate will contribute to the development of wearable devices by establishing power measurement strategies and driving power validation efforts from early-stage prototypes through production. This role involves building and enhancing automation tools for efficient power testing while ensuring compliance with defined power performance targets.

The candidate will work closely with power/performance architects as well as cross-functional hardware, firmware, and software teams to identify, debug, and resolve power-related issues throughout the product lifecycle—from concept to final release.

Key Responsibilities

Perform validation and characterization of power subsystems from prototype stages to production readiness
Support bring-up, debugging, and verification of power circuits on early hardware builds
Design, implement, and maintain automated solutions for power measurement and validation
Develop and execute test plans and test cases focused on power performance
Measure and analyze power consumption across various use cases and operating conditions
Log, track, and resolve defects using bug tracking systems in collaboration with engineering teams
Conduct root cause analysis for issues related to power, SoC, memory, and related components
Create and maintain detailed validation documentation, including test plans, procedures, and reports
Partner with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve system-level power challenges

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
Minimum of 3 years of experience in power validation for consumer electronics or similar products
Solid understanding of power management components such as DC-DC converters (buck/boost), LDOs, load switches, and fuel gauges
Basic knowledge of Android OS, Linux kernel, and SoC power management concepts
Familiarity with hardware communication protocols such as I2C, SPI, and UART
Experience developing and executing validation strategies for power subsystems
Hands-on experience measuring and analyzing power consumption across different scenarios
Proficiency with lab equipment, including oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, and data acquisition tools
Experience with automation and scripting using Python and/or LabVIEW
