Job Location: Round Lake, IL
Job Duration: 12 Months with possible extension
Position: Medical Device Test Engineer / QA Engineer
Responsibilities
Conduct testing activities supporting Medical Device ALM (Application Lifecycle Management) processes
Support medical device teams with testing across IT systems and applications
Execute test cases, document results, and identify issues during testing cycles
Troubleshoot functional and system-related issues during validation and testing activities
Work closely with project and QA teams to ensure accurate and timely test execution
Maintain detailed and accurate test documentation using Micro Focus ALM / HP ALM
Support defect tracking and retesting activities
Participate in team meetings and video interview discussions as part of the testing lifecycle
Required Skills
2–3 years of testing or QA experience in the medical device industry
Hands-on experience with HP ALM / Quality Center
Strong execution and troubleshooting skills
Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Experience supporting IT system testing within regulated environments
Understanding of medical device testing and validation processes
HL7 knowledge is a plus
Familiarity with networking protocols and tools such as:
Wireshark
Strong communication and collaboration skills
No database or cloud experience required
Primarily focused on manual testing and test execution (not debugging/development)
