Role – Test Engineer
Location - Illinois, USA

My client is seeking a Test Automation Engineer to join a newly created team.

Key Responsibilities

Take ownership of technical projects and testing processes across a range of initiatives
Collaborate with multiple business and technical teams to design and improve operational processes
Analyse and understand underlying business requirements to deliver effective technical solutions
Identify opportunities to improve existing systems, processes, and testing frameworks through innovation and technical excellence
Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends to help maintain a forward-thinking engineering environment

Requirements

A practical, solutions-oriented mindset with the ability to solve complex business and technical challenges efficiently
Experience with one or more modern programming languages such as Python, Java, or C#
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical teams
A passion for technology, automation, and continuous improvement within fast-paced engineering environments
Ability to think critically, take ownership of workstreams, and deliver high-quality results with minimal supervision
Comfortable operating within agile, collaborative, and rapidly evolving environments
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with attention to detail and a proactive approach to learning
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or another STEM-related discipline from an accredited university
Previous exposure to financial services, trading platforms, automation testing, or enterprise technology environments would be beneficial, but is not essential
