Job Title: Test Engineer
Job Description
The Test Engineer will be responsible for translating product requirements into test strategies that ensure reliability, durability, and overall product performance. This role is hands-on and involves working closely with engineers and technicians to build and execute test systems.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute test plans for product performance and reliability.
Design and build automated test systems using robotics and control hardware.
Perform reliability testing including HALT, HASS, and accelerated life testing.
Analyze large datasets and generate reports using Excel and other tools.
Support root cause analysis using test and warranty data.
Collaborate with engineering and product teams on testing requirements.
Maintain documentation and test records within PLM or test systems.
Communicate results clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Essential Skills
Experience in reliability testing and product testing.
Automation and system development skills.
Proficiency in data analysis and reporting using Excel.
Experience testing physical consumer products.
Hands-on experience with building and running test systems.
Familiarity with automation hardware such as Arduino, Raspberry Pi, and PLCs.
Ability to translate product requirements into test plans.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
BS in Electrical Engineering preferred, but flexible for non-degreed candidates with strong hands-on experience.
3–10 years of experience in test engineering.
Strong mechanical/electrical system understanding.
Experience working with lab technicians and cross-functional teams.
Ability to manage multiple testing projects simultaneously.
Work Environment
The role is based in an on-site lab environment with hands-on testing. Standard working hours are approximately 8:00 AM to 4:30/5:00 PM, with the opportunity to work remotely one day per week. The position involves close collaboration with engineers, technicians, and product teams.

This is a Permanent position based out of Vista, CA.
Pay And Benefits
The pay range for this position is $72500.00 - $113740.00/yr.
