Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Connected Vehicle Test Engineer to validate telematics systems and ensure seamless vehicle connectivity. The role involves end-to-end testing of telematics control units (TCUs), vehicle communication systems, and integration with backend platforms and mobile applications.
Key Responsibilities:
Test and validate Telematics Control Units (TCU) and connected vehicle features
Verify functionalities such as GPS, eCall/bCall, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and cellular communication (2G/3G/4G/5G)
Perform end-to-end testing across vehicle systems, backend servers, and mobile applications
Execute and validate Over-the-Air (OTA) software update test cases
Conduct regression, sanity, and smoke testing to ensure system stability
Analyze logs using tools such as CAN loggers, network analyzers, and packet capture tools
Work with automotive and communication protocols including CAN, LIN, Ethernet, MQTT, and HTTP/HTTPS
Identify, document, and track defects using defect management tools (e.g., JIRA, ALM)
Collaborate closely with developers, system engineers, and validation teams for issue resolution
Perform field testing and vehicle-level validation when required
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, Computer Science, or related field
Strong understanding of automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet)
Experience in telematics, connected vehicles, or embedded systems testing
Knowledge of wireless technologies (Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, cellular networks)
Hands-on experience with debugging and log analysis tools
Familiarity with OTA updates and backend integration testing
Experience with defect tracking and test management tools
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
