Job Summary

As a recognized technical expert in Functional Safety within CTO Functional Safety team, you perform the technical assessments and Peer Reviews of the safety related semiconductor products under development (SoC). You are also deeply involved in System Safety Solution developments and drive cutting-edge innovation topics.

                                                

Responsibilities

  • Lead the ISO26262 Functional Safety assessments for the Hardware products (SoC)
  • Manage Technical Peer Reviews on project upon request from BL / PL Safety Manager.
  • Support System Safety Solution development: System and Hardware safety concept including requirement, architecture and Safety analysis (FTA, FMEA, DFA, FMEDA, Data flow analysis)
  • Drive cutting-edge innovation topics – influence future SOC / IC designs
  • Maintain / Enhance the Safety Culture within the company - Evangelize the Functional Safety approach across organizational boundaries and with management.
  • Actively engaged in standardization bodies and other initiatives
  • Travel domestically and internationally as required

Skills Required

  • Demonstrated technical leadership, capacity of influencing, convincing
  • Comfortable working with the ambiguity inherent in implementing new technologies, complex Functional Safety products
  • Proven ability to enroll technical and business stakeholders, including internal engineering teams and customers
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills spanning technical contributors, business stakeholders, customers, and executive management.

Experience

  • An intimate knowledge of ISO-26262 (or other safety standard)
  • 5+ years developing Hardware / Semiconductor Safety products for Automotive (architecting, designing, simulation, analysis)
  • Proficient in safety related semiconductor products (SoC, MCU, MPU)
  • Experience in a requirements driven process
  • Good understanding of the responsibility share between supplier and OEM when it comes to product safety
  • Recognized as a technical leader in his/her previous experiences
  • Desirable: Model Based System Engineering, Safety assessment, confirmation reviews, verification reviews

Education

Bachelor or Master of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science with 10 years of industry experience.
