Physical Design Manager
About the Role
We are seeking a seasoned Physical Design Manager to lead and scale our SoC physical design team in Bengaluru. This role is ideal for a leader with deep technical expertise in physical design flows and proven experience managing high-performance engineering teams. You will drive execution across multiple projects, collaborate with global cross-functional teams, and deliver silicon that powers next-generation products.
Responsibilities
Leadership & Strategy
Lead a team of physical design engineers, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and career development.
Define and execute physical design strategies for complex SoCs, ensuring scalability and efficiency.
Partner with global design, architecture, and verification teams to align on project goals and timelines.
Technical Execution
Own end-to-end physical design flow: floorplanning, synthesis, place & route, timing closure, power optimization, and sign-off.
Drive innovation in design methodologies, automation, and tool flows to improve productivity and quality.
Ensure designs meet performance, power, and area (PPA) targets while adhering to schedule.
Collaboration
Work closely with RTL, DFT, and packaging teams to deliver robust and manufacturable designs.
Interface with EDA vendors and foundries to optimize flows and resolve technical challenges.
Represent the Bengaluru team in global program reviews and technical forums.
Basic Qualifications
12–16 years of experience in physical design, with at least 5 years in leadership or management roles.
Proven track record of delivering multiple tape-outs in advanced technology nodes (7nm and below preferred).
Strong expertise in industry-standard EDA tools (Synopsys, Cadence, Mentor).
Deep understanding of timing analysis, power optimization, and signal integrity.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience managing distributed teams across geographies.
Exposure to high-performance CPU/GPU/AI accelerator designs.
Strong background in scripting (Tcl, Perl, Python) for flow automation.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment and drive clarity.

We have been growing rapidly over the last 9+ years to meet the evolving needs of the Semiconductor, Automotive, Telecom and Consumer Electronics segments. Our End-to-End VLSI design services span Micro Architecture to Tape Out and beyond with Post Silicon support. We have been involved in co-development of multiple SOC releases for our clients. Our presence in Concept to Manufacturing, spans across a broad spectrum of capabilities including Board Design, Platform Software solutions (Boot Loader, Bare Metal Firmware, Drivers/BSP, Abstraction layers), Middleware (Stacks, Frameworks, diagnostics), Target application, HMI (industry standard frameworks), IoT and Cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure) applications and V&V services. We have an embedded Software COE with in-house Labs, powered by open-source tool chain equipped with variety of reference boards. This environment enables our engineers to play while they learn. It also creates an environment for the engineers to ideate / create reference Solutions, POC designs. Our teams have been involved in providing frameworks for On-board Diagnostics, Manufacturing diagnostics, Post & Pre-Silicon Validation and Performance Optimization for products based on Linux / RTOS platforms.
