About KUNZ

KUNZ is a global leader in model-based design, engineering, and construction management for complex capital programs. Established in 2015, we've spent a decade building deep expertise across some of the world's most demanding infrastructure sectors - including mission-critical facilities and hyperscale data centers for clients that include the biggest names in Big Tech.

With offices in San Francisco, California and Golden, Colorado, KUNZ supports projects and clients across the United States and internationally.

About the Role

KUNZ is seeking a Technical Design Integrator to support the development and deployment of configurable product models for complex, repeatable building programs.
This is not a traditional BIM coordination role. You will work at the intersection of product engineering, architecture, BIM, MCAD, and digital delivery, translating mechanical, architectural, and systems-level concepts into configurable model-based deliverables that can be deployed across multiple projects.
A major part of this role is issuing configurable product models to architect/engineer firms and general contractors. These models must be understandable, usable, coordinated, and structured so downstream teams can apply them correctly in project-specific design and construction workflows.
The ideal candidate may come from a mechanical, architectural, BIM/VDC, product design, or technical design background. You should be comfortable working across disciplines, interpreting engineering intent, managing structured model deliverables, and coordinating with engineers, designers, vendors, contractors, and program stakeholders.

What You’ll Do

Develop, deploy, and maintain configurable BIM products, templates, and model-based deliverables in Autodesk Forma and related modeling environments.
Translate product engineering, MCAD, or architectural concepts into coordinated Revit-based configurable product models.
Issue configurable product models to architect/engineer firms and general contractors with the documentation needed for successful use.
Develop model issuance packages, interface models, model standards, guidance materials, and supporting documentation.
Support model interpretation, issue resolution, and workflow adoption across multiple projects.
Build concept-phase skeleton models, interface models, configurable components, and lightweight digital products.
Plan, track, and QA/QC model deliverables, including production trackers, model status reports, issuance records, and issue logs.
Review BIM and MCAD-based designs for completeness, interface definition, data quality, and downstream usability.
Coordinate with engineering teams, vendors, design teams, construction stakeholders, and program leadership to resolve integration issues.
Support equipment catalogs, product libraries, configurable content, and reusable model assets.
Help standardize workflows between Revit, Autodesk Forma, Navisworks, MCAD platforms, and related digital delivery tools.

What We’re Looking For

Strong Revit skills, including model creation, family development, parameter management, and structured model organization.
Working knowledge of Autodesk Forma or related model-based delivery platforms.
Ability to interpret models, engineering drawings, architectural drawings, and technical product information.
Experience coordinating complex model deliverables across multiple teams, disciplines, or projects.
Strong program discipline: able to manage trackers, deliverables, meetings, risks, issuance records, and follow-through.
Clear communication with engineers, architects, vendors, construction teams, and program stakeholders.
Strong critical thinking and the ability to turn ambiguous technical requirements into usable digital workflows.
Interest in repeatable product delivery, model-based coordination, and changing how complex buildings are delivered.

Preferred Qualifications

Degree in architecture, mechanical engineering, civil engineering, construction management, or a related technical field.
2+ years of experience in BIM, VDC, technical design integration, product engineering, digital construction, or model-based delivery.
Experience with data centers, mission-critical facilities, industrial infrastructure, or other complex capital programs.
Familiarity with configurable product workflows, equipment catalogs, product configuration, asset handover, or structured program standards.
Experience with SolidWorks, CATIA, Siemens NX, Tekla, DELMIA, Dynamo, Python, Revit API, or other modeling / automation tools is a plus.

Benefits

KUNZ offers competitive compensation, employer-subsidized healthcare, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, and a 401(k) retirement program. We support professional growth through technical training, continuing education, leadership development, and career advancement opportunities. Subsidized relocation may be available for qualified candidates.
