What We’re Doing
Our Team, the Command and Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC) Regional team, is constantly engineering, developing and integrating new capabilities for the U.S. Missile Defense System. Protecting both the United States and its allies. This large, fast paced team, is composed of many small agile teams working together dynamic environment with a common mission to develop and deploy leading-edge missile defense technologies.
The Work
The Regional Applications Systems Software Engineer is to act as the primary software technical liaison between Regional Applications (RA) cross functional product teams, and Systems Engineering and Verification, Integration and Test RMAs, for system engineering-related efforts.
The selected candidate will be responsible for coordinating the systems and software design efforts for the C2BMC Battle Manager / Sensor Resource Manager Agile cross-functional product team.
Typical Responsibilities Include
Lead and support system-level design activities for the software subsystem, including behaviors, data flows, and interfaces
Perform technical analysis to evaluate design approaches, identify risks, and support integrated decision making
Translate system requirements to logical software architectures, algorithmic approaches, and software design
Support integration efforts with other software product teams
Conduct trade studies and design evaluations
Develop and maintain technical documentation
Support software verification activities
This role is best suited for either
A systems engineer with strong technical depth in software development
A software engineer with strong technical depth in systems engineering
Desired Skills
Desired skill for the position include
Familiarity with engineering and collaboration tools such as Git, Jira, Confluence, etc
Strong background in system design, architecture, or performance analysis
Experience with algorithm design and development
Experience with system integration and interface development
Experience with performing formal and informal trade studies
Experience working on an Agile cross functional team
Experience in Missile Defense Domain solutions
Specific experience in Missile Defense Sensor systems
Specific experience in technical areas or battle management, sensor management, engagement planning, track processing, or other fire control concepts
