Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a System-on-Chip (SoC) Design Engineer located in the New York City Metropolitan Area. The SoC Design Engineer will be responsible for defining and implementing digital architectures, developing RTL designs, and performing logic design for complex integrated circuits. Daily tasks include writing and optimizing RTL code, collaborating with physical design teams on floorplanning and timing closure, and working with verification teams to ensure functional correctness. The engineer will participate in design reviews, contribute to architecture and microarchitecture specifications, and support silicon bring-up and debug. The role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to meet performance, power, area, and schedule requirements.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in Logic Design and Computer Architecture for complex SoC systems.
Candidates should possess solid RTL Design and RTL Coding skills for synthesizable, high-quality hardware implementations.
Candidates should possess experience in Physical Design concepts such as timing, floorplanning, and interaction with implementation flows.
Experience with industry-standard EDA tools (e.g., Synopsys, Cadence, Mentor) and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Tcl, Perl) is beneficial.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and capability to work collaboratively in cross-functional engineering teams.
Prior experience in ASIC/SoC development, verification collaboration, and silicon debug is a plus.
