Job Title: System Level Test Engineer
Location: Santa Clara, CA
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced System Level Test Engineer with strong expertise in system-level diagnostics, verification, post-silicon validation, semiconductor testing, Python, and test automation. The role focuses on testing and validating complex SoC/ASIC products, including characterization, quality assurance, yield enhancement, and specification validation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and improve testing methodologies for complex SoC products
• Perform system-level diagnostics, verification, and post-silicon validation
• Support silicon characterization, QA, test, yield enhancement, and specification validation
• Develop and maintain test automation using Python and shell scripting
• Analyze test results and troubleshoot complex silicon and hardware issues
• Perform root cause analysis and drive corrective and preventative actions
• Collaborate with ASIC, ATE, DFT, silicon validation, fab process, software, and quality teams
• Support identification, debugging, and resolution of silicon issues
• Drive process improvements across testing workflows, methodologies, and products
• Work cross-functionally to improve product quality, test coverage, and overall test efficiency
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
• 5+ years of relevant product engineering or hardware systems experience
• Strong experience in semiconductor product testing, system validation, or hardware verification
• Hands-on experience with SoC/ASIC validation, ATE, DFT, or post-silicon validation
• Strong programming/scripting skills in Python and shell scripting
• Experience with test automation and system-level diagnostics
• Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional engineering teams
• Experience with PC architecture, hardware assembly, PCIe bus, and DRAM/DDR is a plus
