Data Intelligence, LLC (DI) is seeking both Systems Engineer II and Systems Engineer III candidates to support development, integration, and sustainment of advanced U.S. Navy tactical systems in Huntsville, AL. These roles support complex defense system engineering efforts within a highly collaborative, mission-driven environment focused on real-time and embedded systems.
This position is fully on-site in Huntsville, AL. A current, active security clearance that is at least Secret level (or higher) is required.
Responsibilities
Support development and modification of complex systems and subsystems
Perform systems engineering lifecycle activities including design, integration, and testing
Conduct functional and empirical analysis related to system performance
Support requirements analysis, decomposition, and traceability
Contribute to system performance modeling and analysis using MATLAB
Support system integration and hardware/software integration & test activities
Perform or support system verification and validation efforts
Troubleshoot and resolve system-level issues in collaboration with engineering teams
Contribute to embedded systems design and development activities
Required Experience & Qualifications
Systems Engineer II
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Physics, or related field (or equivalent experience)
2–4 years of systems engineering experience
Experience supporting design and development of systems or subsystems
Exposure to real-time systems or embedded systems environments
Experience with programming or scripting languages
Familiarity with system integration and testing processes
Experience working with DOORS
Experience working in Linux and Agile environments
Systems Engineer III
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Physics, or related field (or equivalent experience)
5–7 years of systems engineering experience
Strong experience in systems design, development, and integration
Experience with real-time systems development (approximately 3+ years preferred)
Experience with programming or scripting languages
Strong understanding of requirements management and system decomposition
Experience working with DOORS
Experience working in Linux and Agile environments
Preferred Technical Background (Applicable to Both Levels)
Experience with MATLAB and system performance modeling
Experience with hardware/software integration and testing
Familiarity with embedded systems design and development
Experience supporting verification and validation activities
Exposure to defense, tactical systems, radar, or real-time systems environments
Experience supporting complex system integration efforts
Understanding of requirements management tools and systems engineering processes
Experience with the following tools is preferred:
Embedded systems development
Real-time software/system environments
System-level troubleshooting and root cause analysis
Hardware/software integration laboratory environments
Modeling and simulation efforts
Tactical defense systems exposure
