Sustaining Engineer / Production Engineer - Las Vegas, NV - 4 day work week!

We are actively partnered with a global manufacturing company with a headquarters in Las Vegas, NV that is looking to hire a Sustaining Engineer. This person will be responsible for keeping their electromechanical related products operating at a high performance level. Please read on for more details!
The day to day...
Troubleshoot reported problems with existing products, consider potential solutions, communicate and follow up with engineering teams until resolved
Partners with Electrical Engineers on changes to improve mechanical and electromechanical products by studying customer requirements; researching and testing manufacturing and assembly methods and materials; and soliciting observations from operators
Create 2-D and 3-D designs to run simulations, analysis, and tests
Discuss product integration details with OEM customers during product integration and lifecycle support
Perform harness design while also analyzing design level problems
Collaborate with various departments such as Quality, Production, Technical Support, Software, and more.
Qualifications & Experience:
Look at products with a mechanical engineering perspective. We manufacture devices that include motors, gears, and rollers to move and print on paper
Experience using SOLIDWORKS to create 2-D and 3-D designs. SOLIDWORKS certification a plus
Ability to measure and confirm part dimensions. Ability to use an OGP coordinate measurement machine is a plus
Strong analytic and communication skills. Ability to write concise presentations/report of findings
Ability and willingness to travel to domestic and overseas facilities (occasional)
BS in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
1+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, electronics, or related field
Bonus Points for experience with USB protocols, thermal printers, or point of sale (POS) systems
