Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Substation Physical Lead Engineer to support high-priority grid modernization and infrastructure projects. This role will lead the physical design of substations and coordinate closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities
Lead the development of substation physical design packages
Prepare and review:
General Arrangement drawings
Control house layouts
Plans and sections
Detailed physical design drawings
Design and oversee:
Grounding systems
Lightning protection systems
Conduit and trench layouts
Develop material lists (BOMs) and ensure accuracy for procurement
Create and review construction specifications
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers/designers
Ensure designs meet applicable codes, standards, and client requirements

Qualifications
8+ years of experience in substation physical design
PE (Professional Engineer) license required
Strong background in high voltage substation design (Transmission & Distribution)
Proficiency with industry design standards and best practices
Experience leading projects and coordinating across teams
