Due to continued growth in their power delivery portfolio, the firm is seeking a licensed Substation Engineer, P.E.who wants to step into a true Engineer of Record role and technical leadership path.

The Opportunity
This role is designed for a Substation Engineer ready to step into technical leadership.

You will serve as the primary technical authority on substation engineering projects while collaborating closely with Project Managers and multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Your expertise will directly influence design decisions, project outcomes, and engineering quality across the organization.


Key Responsibilities
As the Lead Substation Engineer, you will:
• Serve as Engineer of Record, reviewing and approving engineering deliverables
• Lead substation physical design and engineering calculations
• Guide technical decisions across multiple power delivery projects
• Mentor Staff Engineers, EITs, and Designers
• Act as the technical interface with utility and infrastructure clients
• Help elevate the firm’s engineering standards and technical capabilities


Technical Scope
Projects may include:
• Substation physical design and yard layouts
• Grounding analysis and lightning protection
• Cable, conduit, and transformer sizing
• Equipment specification and vendor coordination
• Engineering studies and calculations
• Drawing review and engineering QA

Experience with ETAP, SKM, or EasyPower is beneficial.


Required Qualifications
• B.S. in Electrical Engineering
• Professional Engineer (PE) license
• 5+ years of substation or power delivery engineering experience
• Consulting experience supporting utilities or infrastructure clients
• Strong expertise in substation physical design
