Responsibilities
Support the design and engineering of substation P&C and/or physical design projects for utility and energy clients.
Prepare and review engineering drawings, including one-line diagrams, schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, control diagrams, equipment layouts, grounding plans, and cable routing drawings.
Assist with relay protection design, control logic development, and settings documentation as applicable.
Support physical design activities including substation layouts, grounding systems, cable design, and equipment arrangements as applicable.
Work with substation equipment such as protective relays, circuit breakers, transformers, CTs/PTs, control panels, battery systems, and SCADA/RTU interfaces.
Coordinate with engineering, field, construction, and commissioning teams throughout project execution.
Support substation upgrades, replacements, expansions, and new installations.
Assist with troubleshooting, technical reviews, and field support activities.
Ensure compliance with utility standards, safety requirements, and industry codes.
Participate in project meetings and support project deliverables, schedules, and documentation.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
3–4 years of experience in substation engineering, P&C, physical design, power systems, or utility engineering.
Experience with substation drawings such as one-line diagrams, schematics, wiring diagrams, equipment layouts, grounding plans, or related engineering documentation.
Understanding of substation equipment, electrical systems, and engineering design principles.
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience in Protection & Control (P&C), Physical Design, or a combination of both.
Familiarity with protective relays, relay settings, protection schemes, control systems, or coordination studies.
Familiarity with substation physical design including equipment layouts, grounding systems, cable routing, and station design.
Utility, consulting, engineering services, or EPC experience.
Experience with AutoCAD, MicroStation, Bluebeam, or similar design tools.
Familiarity with power system software such as ETAP, ASPEN, SKM, or CAPE.
EIT certification or Professional Engineer (P.E.) license preferred but not required.
