We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Designer to join our Engineering Department. This role is critical to the safety and efficiency of our operations, focusing on the design and analysis of heavy-duty structures used in aggregate processing/bulk material handling/mining.
Essential Job Functions
Structural Design & Analysis: Perform rigorous structural calculations and 3D modeling for steel support structures, including long-span conveyors, transfer towers, and equipment foundations.
Material Handling Specialization: Design and optimize chutes and feeders, accounting for material flow dynamics, impact forces, and the integration of wear-resistant liners.
Vibration & Load Management: Analyze structures for dynamic loading conditions, specifically those supporting vibrating screens, crushers, and reciprocating feeders.
Site Inspections & Audits: Conduct occasional field inspections of existing structures to identify corrosion, fatigue, or structural failures and develop prioritized repair/reinforcement plans.
Qualifications
Education: Associates Degree in Drafting or equivalent experience.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of structural design experience, specifically within the aggregate, mining, or heavy industrial sectors.
Technical Proficiency: SolidWorks and/or Creo software.
Specialized Knowledge: Demonstrated experience with bulk material handling systems (conveyors, feeders, bins, and hoppers).
