Structural Design Engineer

We are working with a fast-growing aerospace company developing next-generation launch systems designed to increase access to space through improved reliability, scalability, and operational cadence.

With strong funding and a highly collaborative engineering culture, this is an opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge hardware in a hands-on, fast-paced environment.

The Opportunity
As a Structural Design Engineer, you will support the development of flight hardware across the full product lifecycle. You will work closely with senior engineers, manufacturing, and test teams to design, analyze, and deliver structural components for advanced aerospace systems.
This role is ideal for engineers early in their career who want to take ownership of real hardware, grow their technical capability quickly, and gain exposure to the full development cycle from concept through testing and integration.

Key Responsibilities
Support the design of structural components, including primary and secondary structures
Perform structural analysis using a range of methods, from hand calculations to FEA
Collaborate with manufacturing and test teams to ensure designs are buildable and verifiable
Assist in developing load cases, margin summaries, and structural documentation
Participate in design reviews and contribute to engineering decision-making
Support hardware builds, testing, and integration activities
Learn and apply best practices for structural design in high-performance environments

Requirements
2–8 years of experience in structural or mechanical engineering (aerospace preferred)
Experience with CAD tools (NX preferred) and familiarity with FEA tools (ANSYS or similar)
Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals, including stress, materials, and load paths
Exposure to hardware development, manufacturing, or testing environments
Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced setting
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field

Nice to Have
Experience with aerospace or launch vehicle systems
Familiarity with composite materials or cryogenic environments
Hands-on experience with hardware builds or testing
