STEM Jobs in the United States — Remote (Full-Time)
Rex.zone supports US-based AI/ML engineering workflows across real-world production pipelines. In this role you will contribute to large language model training through data labeling, RLHF evaluation, QA evaluation, prompt evaluation, named entity recognition, computer vision annotation, and content safety labeling. Success is measured through training data quality, auditability, and downstream model performance improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality labeled datasets for NLP and computer vision (NER spans, classifications, structured extraction)
Perform RLHF evaluations (preference ranking, rubric-based grading, pairwise comparisons)
Execute QA evaluation workflows (sampling, disagreement resolution, inter-annotator agreement, guideline compliance)
Conduct prompt evaluation for helpfulness, factuality, reasoning, instruction adherence, and safety behavior
Apply content safety labeling (violence, hate, harassment, sexual content, self-harm, regulated goods)
Document edge cases, propose guideline updates, and maintain audit-ready decision logs
Collaborate with engineering and data operations to improve tooling, throughput, and quality metrics
Required Qualifications
Mid-Senior experience in a STEM/engineering role with quality-first execution
Ability to follow detailed rubrics and apply annotation guidelines consistently
Familiarity with AI/ML concepts, LLM training pipelines, and evaluation methodology
Experience with at least one: NLP labeling, NER, prompt evaluation, RLHF, or computer vision annotation
Strong written reasoning for justifying labels and evaluation decisions
Comfort working independently in a remote environment
Compensation
Base pay range: $30–$50 per hour (USD), depending on scope, complexity, and experience.
Benefits may vary by assignment and US location.
How To Apply
Apply via Rex.zone with a resume highlighting STEM engineering experience, AI/ML evaluation or data labeling exposure, and QA examples across NLP, computer vision, and/or content safety.
