Job Title: Press Tool Design Engineer
Experience: 2 to 3 Years

Job Summary
We are looking for a Press Tool Design Engineer with 2โ3 years of relevant experience in sheet metal press tool design. The candidate should have hands-on experience in designing automotive press tools and be proficient in Siemens NX and CATIA. The role involves complete tool design activities from concept to manufacturing support.
Key Responsibilities
โขDesign and development of sheet metal press tools such as:
o Blanking tools
o Piercing tools
o Progressive tools
o Forming and drawing tools
โข Preparation of complete tool design layouts and detailed drawings
โข Tool feasibility study based on part geometry and manufacturing requirements
โข Die design activities including:
o Strip layout preparation
o Tool construction details
o Die assembly drawings
โขCoordination with:
o Manufacturing and tool shop teams
o Quality and production departments
โข Supporting tool manufacturing, trials, and tool modifications
โข Ensuring designs comply with customer standards and internal design guidelines
โข Handling design changes and implementation of engineering modifications
Software Skills
โข Siemens NX (Mandatory) โ Tool design, detailing, and assemblies
โข CATIA (Mandatory) โ Part analysis and tool design support
โข Knowledge of 2D drafting standards and GD&T is preferred
Technical Skills
โข Strong knowledge of sheet metal manufacturing processes
โข Understanding of press tool components and tool steels
โข Awareness of tolerances, fits, and machining processes
โข Experience in automotive press tool design is preferred
Education
โข Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
Desired Competencies
โข Good analytical and problem-solving skills
โข Ability to work independently on assigned tools
โข Effective communication and coordination skills
โข Willingness to take ownership of design deliverables
Experience Preference
โข Exposure to automotive OEM or Tier-1 supplier projects is an added advantage
