This is a Hybrid (3 days/week in office, regular shift) long term role in Tualatin
We are seeking a Staff RF Power Product Engineer to join the RF Power Group within Supplier Engineering and Technology (SET). This is a highly technical, cross-functional engineering role focused on RF power systems, semiconductor manufacturing equipment, supplier engineering, product quality, and new product introduction.
In this role, you will have broad influence across the product lifecycle, working with engineering teams, suppliers, and contract manufacturers to solve complex technical and manufacturing challenges. You will apply your expertise in high-power RF systems, electrical engineering, product qualification, quality systems, manufacturing processes, and structured problem-solving to support advanced wafer fabrication equipment used by leading semiconductor manufacturers worldwide.
Qualifications & Skills:
Electrical or RF Power Engineer with BS / MS / PhD in a professional engineering program with demonstrated aptitude and >10 years of experience in the following areas:
Semiconductor equipment system and component-level problem-solving
Multi-kilowatt high-power RF Environments from 1 to 60 MHz
Understanding of Transmission Line theory, Impedance matching, RF measurements & calibration techniques
Components include analog and digital circuits, computer control networks and interactions of hardware and software
Experience with Printed Circuit Board (PCB) assembly, inspection and test is preferred
Electrical measurement equipment familiarity, including: DMM, LCR, Milli-ohm Meters, Network Analyzers, Hi-Pot/Ground Bond Testers, Function Generators, Oscilloscopes, TDR Meters, Spectrum Analyzers
Working knowledge of: SPC, Cpk, DOE, GR&R (MSA), 5-Why, 6S/7W, t/F tests, box plots, 8D, Ishikawa diagrams
Working knowledge of electrical & mfg standards (Semi S2, OSHA, ISO9000/14000, RoHS, UL, IEEE, MIL, IPC 610/620)
Electro-mechanical assembly, methods of part fabrication, assembly, test and quality assurance
Practical lab and experimental experience is required
Critical and creative thinking, qualitative and quantitative analysis methods
Communication skills including written and verbal with emphasis on presentations to team members and stakeholders
Industrial systems life cycle: Specification, Manufacture, Assembly, Test, Reliability, Systems Integration and Product Support
Structured problem-solving in Cross-Functional Teams (CFT)
Responsibilities:
Apply skills and experience with semiconductor manufacturing and equipment to technical and quality problems encountered in the product life cycle with special attention to new product introduction
Apply experience with industrial Quality Systems, Engineering Design & Documentation, Product Qualification, Change (EC) Processes and Problem Solving to issues occurring in product and component life cycles
Perform Program/Project and Supplier Management roles with emphasis on problem-solving analysis and improvements in manufacturing and test processes. Definition, review and improvement of Supplier’s Root Cause & Corrective Action (RCCA), Supplier’s Quality Systems and Processes of Record (POR)
