Your Team, Your Impact

As a Hardware and Silicon Validation Senior Staff Engineer at Marvell, you’ll be helping to deliver high bandwidth over long distances. This team performs analog validations on amplifiers that drive optical electronic devices and receivers. We also validate silicon photonics, do upper electronic measurements and support the coherent digital signal programming unit. This is a niche area at Marvell, working with cutting edge technologies used by many internal and external customers around the world.

What You Can Expect

Perform Copper and HSC PHY Product validation activities on system, sub-systems, and IP blocks. Understand the application requirements Copper and HSC PHY products. Complete high-speed Transceiver PHY validation in post-silicon environment. Translate product requirements into validation requirements and plans. Perform validation activities in coordination with cross functional teams. Develop characterization strategies over a wide range of compliance specs such as IEEE 802.3, 802.1AE, and 1588. Perform high speed signal validation and analysis using various test equipment. Analyze and debug issues on PHY protocol. Develop automation scripts via python. Perform analysis with script routines while enhancing existing routines as needed for lab. Document validation processes, results, and findings for continuous improvement and knowledge sharing. Wage $150,000.00 - $180,000.00 per year.

What We're Looking For

Master’s or foreign equivalent degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science/Engineering, or a related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.

Experience must include three (3) years with each of the following:

•    C++, Python for software development.
•    Logical functions of system design.
•    Handling test equipment like oscilloscopes, network analyzers.
•    Collaborating with cross functional teams to develop system test plan and resolve complicated problems.
•    Performing functional level and system level validations.
•    Analyzing and ensuring the integrity of system functions.
•    Digital functions.
•    Physical layer technologies.
