ADI’s Analog Tools and Technology Group (Part of Engineering Enablement) is an innovative group which creates solutions to the complex analog and mixed signal product development challenges using the latest tools and technologies. We strive to enable ADI product development teams to perform at their peak efficiency while maintaining ADI’s leadership in innovation and performance. We develop unique, flexible solutions that can address the needs of ADI’s broad portfolio of product developments.

The Staff Mixed-Signal Design Automation Engineer will lead a team of talented engineers in the definition, architecting, specification, and implementation of the next generation mixed-signal product design flows in ADI. This team will interact closely with ADI product development teams to implement intuitive capabilities that are aligned with the product development requirements. These flows will leverage state of the art tools from the CAE industry as well as ADI internally developed capabilities.

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities

In this role, you will work with a highly capable team developing our most advanced mixed signal design automation capabilities.  You should exhibit a strong, intuitive capability in solving complex challenges. Self-motivation and the ability to work effectively within a geographically diverse team will also be important.  Your work will include:

·         Closely collaborating with ADI analog and mixed signal IC design teams and engineering enablement groups to develop and deploy innovative analog IC design flow/tools powered by AI

·         Collaborating with peers within the Analog Tools and Technology group and Engineering Enablement to develop design process migration tools and methods using AI  

·         Comprehending how mixed-signal product development flows interact and co-exist with other product development flows as well as product line methodologies

·         Possessing and maintaining an in-depth knowledge of external design tools and methodologies

·         Mentoring junior staff and peers on emerging capabilities in Analog and mixed signal IC design tools

 

 

Qualifications

·         M.S. or beyond in Electrical Engineering

·         7-10 years’ experience in Analog/mixed-signal IC design and design tool use and/or development

·         Strong understanding of a wide range of circuits such as wide bandwidth amplifiers and comparators, switched capacitor circuits, precision voltage and current references, LDOs.

·         Experience in analog circuit design and simulation in Finfet and/or Power processes

·         While not a must, experience in power product design and development is advantageous.

·         Experience in Cadence and/or Synopsys design creation and simulation tools.

·         Programming experience is a must.

·         Good written and verbal communication skills, and ability to work in a large team.
