Job Description
We are seeking a Staff Engineer in Test to join our Infinia - Cloud Control Plane to design, develop, and deliver core components of our software-defined storage platform. This role focuses on building high-quality, scalable solutions while collaborating closely with peers across engineering, product, and program management.
The ideal candidate is a strong hands-on engineer who enjoys solving complex technical problems and contributing to the development of reliable, high-performance storage systems.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and maintain software components for scalable storage solutions.
Contribute to the implementation of distributed systems with a focus on reliability, performance, and availability.
Participate in design discussions and provide thoughtful technical input.
Write high-quality, maintainable, and well-tested code.
Conduct code reviews and follow engineering best practices.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across the stack.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support product delivery.
Work closely with program management to meet release milestones.
Contribute to technical documentation.
Provide updates on project progress and deliverables.
Support continuous improvement of engineering processes and system performance.
Travel occasionally as needed for team meetings or training.
Qualifications Required
BS/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or related field (or equivalent experience).
10+ years of software development experience.
Strong programming skills in C/C++, particularly in Linux/UNIX environments.
Experience with distributed systems, multithreading, and concurrency.
Solid understanding of file systems and server architectures.
Proven ability to deliver production-quality software.
Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills.
Preferred
Experience with scale-out or high-availability storage systems.
Familiarity with parallel file systems such as Lustre or GPFS.
Exposure to NVMe or modern storage technologies.
Experience debugging system-level issues.
