What To Expect
Tesla’s low voltage hardware group is seeking a Senior Signal and Power Integrity Engineer to contribute to cutting-edge hardware solutions, enhancing the infotainment, camera, sensors, and cable assemblies experiences in next-generation Tesla vehicles and Optimus Robot.

What You'll Do

Develop and implement corporate signal integrity standards and guidelines, defining best practices for signal integrity design, analysis, and testing
Collaborate with Electrical Engineers and Layout Engineers to ensure signal integrity is considered in the physical design of circuit boards
Work closely with other engineering teams (EMC, harness, Test, and thermal engineering) to integrate signal integrity throughout the product development process
Utilize programming languages to automate tasks, including simulation tools and oscilloscope/VNA/thermal chamber instrumentation
Review PCB schematic and layout for signal integrity compliance
Perform signal integrity simulations to identify and resolve potential problems and conducting measurements for validation/correlation
Debug signal integrity problems in prototypes and production boards


What You'll Bring

Degree in a relevant field, or equivalent experience
Technical depth and breadth in high-speed signal integrity, power integrity, and applied electromagnetics
Decent knowledge and experience with script languages such as Perl or Python for automation
Familiarity with measurement equipment such as VNA, Oscilloscope, SA, etc.
Familiarity and experience with 2D/3D simulation tools (e.g., Ansys AEDT/HFSS/SIWAVE or equivalents)
Familiarity with PCB design tools, including Cadence PCB and Altium
Collaborative mindset, working with cross-functional team members from multiple disciplines to reach fact-based decisions
Exposure to industry standards such as DisplayPort, HDMI, USB, DDR, PCIE, or Gigabit Ethernet interfaces
Working knowledge of DDR and PCIe validation is a plus

Expected Compensation

$160,000 - $282,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
