Job Summary
Join our global Software Quality Assurance (SQA) organization as a Senior SQA Engineer, where you will serve as a trusted quality partner to our clients and internal teams. In this senior role, you will lead testing efforts across desktop, web, and REST API applications, ensuring the delivery of high‑quality, reliable software solutions. You will collaborate with clients and cross‑functional stakeholders to align on requirements, quality expectations, and quality releases while also working closely with Agile Scrum teams operating within Agile Release Trains (ART). You will take ownership of complex testing initiatives. Your expertise will help identify and troubleshoot defects and challenges identified by the users, guide junior team members as needed, and ensure the highest standards of quality and user satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as a primary quality liaison for client testing activities in non-production environments.
Support testing efforts for complex application features, ensuring client deliverables meet or exceed established quality standards.
Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis for defects, working closely with development, systems engineering/infrastructure, and configuration management teams to resolve issues efficiently and prevent recurrence.
Develop and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test reports, ensuring full coverage of business workflows and technical configurations.
Manage and prioritize defects using Azure DevOps, ensuring timely communication, accurate tracking, and effective resolution across engineering, infrastructure, and configuration teams.
Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Developers, Systems Engineering, Infrastructure, and Configuration Management teams, as well as client stakeholders to resolve client queries.
Champion continuous improvement, recommending and implementing enhancements to QA processes, tooling, and cross‑team collaboration practices.
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior QA team members, promoting consistent quality standards and knowledge sharing.
Skills And Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
7+ years of strong technical hands‑on experience in Software Quality Assurance, with a background in client‑facing testing support, defect investigation, and quality validation.
Expertise with Azure DevOps, particularly in defect and test management.
Strong understanding of QA methodologies, system testing, workflows, log monitoring and troubleshooting techniques.
Experience in SQL and data validation
Experience testing across multiple operating systems (Windows, macOS) and mobile devices.
Familiarity with Azure Functions is a plus.
Exposure to automated testing tools is preferred but not required.
Deep understanding of Agile Scrum principles and experience working within Agile Release Trains (ART) is preferred.
Experience collaborating with global, cross‑functional teams.
Strong troubleshooting skills in Windows environments (client and server).
Experience with performance or security testing is a plus.
