Job Description
OnSemi is seeking a Senior Principal Analog design Engineer, NEW PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT, Power Management, to join our growing team in Bengaluru, India. This group is responsible for development of Power management products including LED drivers, SiC/MOS/IGBT/motor/GAN drivers, Switches and efuses for consumer, industrial and automotive applications. In this role, you will focus on the following
Mentor junior Analog IC design engineers
Lead multiple analog IPs with IP ownership and responsibility from definition, IP execution to release to manufacturing
Able to resolve complex analog problem and propose and implement the solution
Provide design guidance as needed, developing schedules and monitoring progress throughout the project
Evaluate intermediate and results of projects during the design phase and during silicon evaluation, to ensure accomplishment of technical objectives
Work with and provide guidance to physical designers and monitors the progress of IC layout
Collaborate with Design Verification teams during the pre-tapeout phase of a project to ensure completion of all technical tasks before tapeout
Work with systems engineers, application engineers and marketing assisting in the definition of the product to meet customer needs as well as contributing to roadmap formulation and new concept creation
Collaborate with validation, product engineering and test engineering teams to enable successful transfer to production
Provide technical leadership in driving architecture design and circuit design based on high-level specifications
Own technical outcomes of design, verification, implementation, and execution of power management ICs with complexities that can span from simple regulators to complex mixed-signal designs and control loops
Understand project goals, create a realistic schedule and resource plan, track execution schedule to plan, monitor progress, and provide full clarity to the team on the goals and objectives.
Responsibilities
Mentor junior Analog IC design engineers
Lead multiple analog IPs with IP ownership and responsibility from definition, IP execution to release to manufacturing

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
BS in Electrical Engineering or related 14 and above years of experience, or MS 12 and above years of experience
Qualification
Solid track record of delivering multiple complex IPs with Si learnings
Extensive knowledge of engineering processes, principles, and methodologies
Goal and outcome-focused with the ability to handle multiple projects within the team
Ability to provide technical mentorship
Experience in simplifying complex problems into smaller problems and solving them as a team
Good understanding of various drivers like SiC/GAN/LED, smartFET / Efuses and relevant Analog building blocks
Strong Analog IC design skills, debug of complex silicon problems using simulations and/or bench testing
Familiarity with advanced Bipolar, CMOS, and High Voltage BCD technology, Process, Device Physics, Semiconductor Manufacturing processes, and their impact on Analog performance
understanding of power transistor Design, Layout, and Robustness
Proficiency in leading-edge design and verification tools such as Simplis or MATLAB for architectural simulations, Cadence Spectre for schematic capture, simulation, layout, and tape-out
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to quickly ramp on new systems and processes
Demonstrated strong interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions
Ability to take the initiative and drive for results
