About The Role
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Platform Power & Thermal Validation Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for validating platform-level power and thermal behavior on cutting-edge SoC platforms, developing test automation frameworks, and driving quality through systematic debugging and analysis.
Key Responsibilities
🔍 Design, develop, and execute embedded software test plans for platform power and thermal validation on SoC-based platforms
🌡️ Validate thermal management behavior including thermal throttling, mitigation policies, and sensor accuracy
⚙️ Perform platform power testing including active power, idle power states (e.g., DRIPS/SLPM), and power rail validation
🐍 Develop and maintain Python-based automation scripts to streamline test execution, log collection, and result analysis
🧠 Leverage AI/ML tools and techniques to assist in automated triage, anomaly detection, and test result analysis
🔬 Perform low-level JTAG debugging using tools like Lauterbach T32 to analyze hardware/software interactions and failures
📊 Analyze test results, identify root causes, and work closely with software and hardware teams to resolve issues
🏗️ Understand CPU architecture and microarchitecture concepts to correlate power/thermal behavior with system activity
📝 Document test cases, test results, bug reports, and validation summaries

Experience 3–6 years in embedded software testing / validation
SoC KnowledgeUnderstanding of SoC architecture, subsystems, and power domains
CPU UnderstandingFamiliarity with CPU microarchitecture, power states, and performance counters
Thermal ManagementExperience validating thermal policies, thermal sensors, and mitigation algorithms
Platform Power TestingHands-on experience with platform power measurement, idle state validation, and power profiling
Python AutomationProficiency in Python for test automation, scripting, and data analysis
JTAG DebuggingExperience using JTAG-based debuggers (e.g., T32/Lauterbach) for low-level debug
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
OR
Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Engineering or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
2+ years of academic or work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
