About The Role – Sr. Electronics/Electrical Engineer

As a Sr. Electronics/Electrical Engineer, you will work on current and upcoming products. You will be responsible for taking new products and/or features from requirements to production inclusive of designing, developing, testing, and certifying for payment reader applications. You will work closely with cross-functional team members to translate requirements into technical requirements and execution plans.

$110,000.00 - $170,000.00 /yr. Full-time at our Seal Beach, CA Corporate Office

Responsibilities and Duties

Design EMI compatible RF/Analog and digital designs, test, and debug of embedded microcontroller.
Create electrical schematics using OrCAD Capture.
Write theory of operation, specification and other support documents.
Perform component-level circuit analysis/debug using Network Analyzers, Spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, volt meters, logic analyzers and PC based tools.
Responsible for design, validation and release through the product life cycle.
Provide technical support to internal and external customers and address field issues.
Coordinate with project managers and other team members in the development phases.

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent degree and minimum of 5 years of experience.
Design experience with embedded microcontrollers. (8051, ARM 7, ARM 9).
Analog design experience with op-amps, filters, FET, oscillator, and power-regulator circuits.
Portable electronics power management design (Power budget calculations, low power, Li+ battery/charging circuitry, coin cell).
Digital design experience of control logic circuits and communication (I2C, SPI, Ethernet, USB, Bluetooth LE, WLAN).
Experience with simulation tools such as Mentor Graphics Hyperlynx, LTspice.
Secure design practices using PCI and EMV knowledge a plus.
Ability to program embedded controllers in “C” language is a plus.
Component level design of contactless LF NFC circuits is a plus.
Knowledge of RF circuits design, PCB layout requirements, RF components, Antenna design, simulation/modeling, and RF testing at the bench level is a plus.
Knowledge of regulatory compliance for FCC, CE, IC, UL and other international bodies is a plus.
Excellent technical writing and communication skills are a must.
Self-motivated team player and can work independently and within a team environment.
Can do attitude and motivated by challenges.
