Job Description
BAE Systems is seeking a Sr. Computer Hardware Engineer to support the Air Force Research Lab (AFRL) SecureView Program Management Office. This role requires a skilled, technically knowledgeable person that has experience with hardware systems, components, and environments. The candidate must be able to handle multiple tasks in a team environment.
Responsibilities Include
Design, develop, integrate, test, and support hardware systems and components in secure environments
Maintain and support hardware infrastructure including servers, storage arrays, networking equipment, and embedded systems
Perform hardware troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and corrective actions on desktop and server systems
Conduct hardware upgrades, component replacements, firmware updates, and system configuration changes
Interface with local customers and provide hardware-related support to quickly resolve issues
Apply relevant compliance standards and security controls to hardware platforms
Attend planning and requirements meetings with engineering teams, Program Managers, and customers
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, Hardware Engineering, or a related field
Minimum 5 years of experience in hardware design, systems engineering or equivalent experience
Extensive knowledge of x86-based hardware architectures and Intel processor platforms
Demonstrated hands-on experience with digital/analog circuit design, PCB layout, and embedded hardware development
Extensive experience performing root cause analysis and troubleshooting hardware systems
Experience with hardware security and testing
Possess excellent oral and written communication skills and effectively communicate details with all levels of management
Experience supporting hardware in DoD or government production environments
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Familiarity with cross-domain hardware solutions and requirements
Experience with FPGA development, and signal integrity analysis
Experience writing test scripts, performing hardware testing
Experience with virtualization hardware platforms and high-availability systems
Basic knowledge of Agile development
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $107359 - $182510
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
