Job Description
As a Sr. Advanced Test Engineer here at Honeywell, you will lead the development and execution of advanced test strategies to ensure the highest quality and reliability of aerospace products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to define test requirements and implement innovative testing methodologies that drive product excellence and safety.
You will report directly to our engineering management team and you’ll work out of our Phoenix, AZ location on an on-site work schedule.
In this role, you will impact the success of our aerospace engineering projects by providing technical expertise in test development, driving continuous improvement in test processes, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and execute advanced test strategies and plans to validate aerospace product performance and reliability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, manufacturing, and quality to define test requirements and specifications.
Analyze test data and results to identify issues and recommend improvements to enhance product quality.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior test engineers and team members.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives in test methodologies and processes to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
Strong programming skills in Python.
Hands-on experience with RF and IR systems.
Strong background in signal processing techniques.
Experience with simulation tools and environments.
Proven experience working with test benches and automated test equipment (ATE).
In-depth knowledge of avionics product certification processes.
Experience with avionics test equipment and instrumentation.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE
Minimum of 10 years of experience in test engineering within the aerospace industry.
Strong expertise in advanced test methodologies, data analysis, and test automation tools.
Proficiency with aerospace testing standards and regulatory requirements.
Experience with test equipment programming and scripting languages relevant to test automation.
Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
Familiarity with industry standards such as MIL-STD, DO-178C, DO-254
Experience in aerospace system integration and validation
