Are you passionate about building high‑performance software that directly improves surgical outcomes? VISIE is a venture‑backed medical‑device startup in Austin, Texas, pioneering a structured‑light 3D scanning platform that fuses live surface data with pre‑operative CT to guide collaborative robots in orthopedic surgery. We move fast, care deeply about code quality, and measure success in milliseconds and microns. Join us and help bring real‑time computer vision into the operating room.
What You’ll Do
· Develop modern C++ software related to the capturing, processing, and integration of 3D point clouds in medical workflows.
· Work on features to expand the capabilities of a 3D object tracking platform.
· Help maintain CI/CD pipelines for building, testing, and deploying software.
· Develop and maintain UI for our products and demos.
· Contribute to design controls and documentation under IEC 62304 and ISO 13485.
Required Skills, Education, and Experience
· 5+ years of professional modern C++ experience in production real time systems (ideally Linux-based systems).
· Bachelor's (or higher) degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related technical field.
Ways to Stand Out
· Experience applying linear algebra, 3D geometry, and classical computer vision.
· Firm grasp of C++ concepts (polymorphism, inheritance, multithreading, cmake, STL, etc...)
· Strong familiarity with Linux and DevOps workflows. (git, Jenkins, AWS, Docker)
· Experience with Qt/QML, especially with a focus on 3D visualizations.
· Experience with interpreting medical imaging data (especially CT/MRI), specifically for bones.
Why You'll Thrive Here
· Work well on a small team where you can make a large impact.
· Fast learners who are interested in 3D imaging and computer vision.
· See your code drive real hardware every day—in our mock OR, cadaver labs, and with our scanner‑robot platform.
· Like to keep projects moving and work with a very effective team.
Location & Schedule
