Role: Full Stack Software Engineer
Location: Remote (U.S.-based; preference for candidates located near San Francisco or New York City)
Compensation: $190-270k Base Salary
About the Role
We are seeking a talented Full Stack Software Engineer with strong expertise in Python, TypeScript, and React to help design, build, and scale modern web applications. In this role, you'll work across the entire technology stack—from crafting intuitive user experiences to developing scalable backend services and APIs.
You will collaborate closely with product, design, and infrastructure teams to deliver high-impact features, drive technical excellence, and contribute to a world-class engineering culture.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain full-stack web applications using React and TypeScript on the frontend and Python on the backend
Build, enhance, and optimize RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs that power core product functionality and integrations
Write clean, maintainable, well-tested, and well-documented code following engineering best practices
Partner with product managers, designers, and engineers to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions
Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to key technical decisions
Implement and improve CI/CD pipelines, automated testing frameworks, and monitoring solutions to ensure reliability and performance
Mentor and support junior engineers through code reviews, pair programming, and knowledge sharing
Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve performance bottlenecks across frontend and backend systems
Contribute to infrastructure and DevOps initiatives, including containerization and cloud-native deployments
Required Qualifications
3+ years of professional experience building and shipping full-stack software applications
Strong proficiency in Python, including frameworks such as FastAPI, Django, or Flask
Strong proficiency in TypeScript and modern React development (hooks, context, and functional components)
Experience working with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and/or NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis)
Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure and containerization technologies including Docker and Kubernetes
Solid understanding of REST API design, authentication, and authorization patterns
Experience using Git and modern collaborative software development workflows
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with modern state management libraries such as Redux, Zustand, or React Query
Familiarity with event-driven architectures and messaging systems including Kafka, RabbitMQ, or Celery
Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Pulumi, or CloudFormation
Knowledge of observability and monitoring platforms including Datadog, Grafana, and Prometheus
Contributions to open-source projects or a strong public portfolio of technical work
Experience designing, building, and consuming microservices
Familiarity with AI/ML integrations, LLM APIs, or data pipeline development
