About The Team
AI is about to flood the market with new drug candidates. Clinical research sites, responsible for conducting trials, are the bottleneck to FDA approval. Their back-office operations are often manual, fragmented, and incredibly complex.
We’re rebuilding the entire back-office from the ground up to help sites focus on their core mission: advancing life-saving research.
Our AI agents manage millions of dollars in trial budgets. They structure unstructured data, determine what sites are owed, and recover it.
We just closed a seed round (announcing soon) and we're hiring our founding engineering team.
Role Overview
You'll report directly to our CTO. You'll own the systems that automate the entire financial lifecycle for clinical research sites: integrations with banks, CTMS platforms, payment portals, and our AI agents.
Stack: Golang backend, Temporal for workflow orchestration and batch jobs, Postgres for relational data, Redis for caching, Docker Compose for local dev.
This is a rare early engineering role. You'll work directly with customers, shape the product roadmap, and build the technical foundation of the platform. We're looking for someone who acts like an owner, wants to modernize healthcare infrastructure, and is comfortable on a customer call.
Responsibilities
Own the end-to-end development of our core financial system
Design and scale backend services in Golang and Temporal
Build deep integrations with banks, CTMS, payment portals, and our AI engine
Work directly with customers on integrations and feed back into the roadmap
You'll do well here if:
Can take a vague goal, i.e. "the invoice totals don’t match payments sums", and decide what matters before writing code.
Have shipped a system end-to-end yourself: you sized it, built it, rolled it out, and watched it in production.
Write code with meticulous precision. The movement of money through this product demands exceptionally careful engineering.
Prioritize studying existing codebases, SQL, and migrations over reflexively adding new code.
Partner directly with the people on the other side of your code, customers & cofounders, without needing layers in between.
Treat AI tools as leverage, not a substitute for understanding what you shipped.
Bonus, not required: you've worked on a ledger, a billing system, an EHR, or anything else where being wrong has a dollar amount attached. If you haven't, curiosity about the clinical-trial domain and fin-tech matters more than prior exposure.
Compensation and Benefits:
$150k–$275k base salary + meaningful founding equity
100% employer-paid medical, dental, and vision
Unlimited PTO
Whatever MacBook and monitor setup you want
