We are currently seeking a Software Engineer for our Power Systems team in Rochester, NY. The Software Engineer is responsible for the entire software development lifecycle for a company's projects. They use their technical expertise to ensure quality standards and best practices throughout the process.
Duties

Work closely with Product Owners and Operations Managers to design solutions with technical requirements
Support and maintain custom internal Web Applications
Take an active role in designing new software and computer systems
Help create schematics or wire-frames for software, guide junior engineers in design techniques, and ensure initial schematics match customer preferences
Stay updated with current technologies, techniques and any other development tools that might help make processes more efficient or modernized
Advocate coding best practices
Support CI/CD implementation
Helps plan the scope, or size, of development projects and what creative direction to follow


Requirements

Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering
Experience in software development
Salary Range: $75,000-$85,000 per year
The specific salary offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate's relevant experience, education, and work location.
