Software Engineer

The Role

Design, develop, and test OS and software components for a correlator computer cluster
Write installation, configuration, and maintenance documentation for the cluster
Design, develop, test, and maintain software for VLBA telescope systems
Create and maintain critical software documentation, including requirements and user guides
Build out a new software correlator computer cluster and develop monitoring scripts

What You'll Need

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience
Minimum of three years of professional hands-on Linux system administration experience
Fluency in RHEL system administration
Experience with bash, Python, and C/C++ programming
Ability to architect and operate highly resilient clusters
Experience with monitoring/log aggregation platforms (Prometheus/Grafana, ELK/Graylog)
