Software Engineer

Our client, is seeking a highly motivated Python Developer to join their team in their New York City office. This individual will sit on the trading desk, working closely with traders, quantitative researchers, and senior engineers to support the development of trading infrastructure and analytical tools. The developer will be directly involved in the quant research and execution process. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to contribute to a high-performing team focused on delivering results.

Role
Collaborate with traders, quants, and senior engineers to build and maintain tools and systems used in equity arbitrage strategies.
Develop data pipelines, trading analytics, and automation tools in Python.
Participate in the full software development lifecycle—from design and implementation to testing and deployment.
Troubleshoot and enhance existing systems to support evolving strategy requirements.

Essential Skills
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
3+ years of software development experience.
Proficiency in Python, demonstrating the ability to write clean, efficient, and maintainable code.

Beneficial Skills
Experience in Tech or financial services.
Familiarity with Linux, version control (e.g., Git), and working with data using tools like Pandas and NumPy.

Base can exceed $400k + massive guaranteed bonus and sign-on. Total compensation can easily
approach 7 figures.
