🚀 Software Engineer in Support (APAC) | Chennai, India or Singapore

If you're a software engineer who enjoys solving complex technical problems, working directly with customers, and using AI and automation to make processes smarter, this could be the role you've been looking for.
At Bitmovin, we're hiring a Software Engineer in Support to partner with some of the world's leading streaming and media companies across APAC.
This isn't a helpdesk role. You'll be debugging real-world integrations, working closely with developers, influencing product improvements, building tools and automations that improve how we support customers, and becoming a trusted technical advisor for strategic accounts.
💡 What makes this role unique?
✅ You'll work on software, not infrastructure
✅ You'll investigate frontend, playback, API, SDK, and integration challenges
✅ You'll use AI tooling and automation to improve support workflows, accelerate troubleshooting, and enhance customer outcomes
✅ You'll own relationships with top-tier customers and help shape their success
✅ You'll collaborate directly with Product, Engineering, Customer Success, and Solutions teams
✅ You'll develop skills that naturally lead toward Solutions Engineering, Solutions Architecture, or Technical Consulting careers
We're especially interested in engineers who have:
• Strong JavaScript and modern web application experience
• Experience building or debugging customer-facing software
• Curiosity, creativity, and a passion for solving problems
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts clearly
• An interest in understanding how customers use technology in the real world
Bonus points for experience with video streaming, playback technologies, mobile development, CI/CD, Kubernetes, Python, Swift, or Kotlin.
📍 Location: Chennai (preferred) or Singapore
