We are part of Amazon Lab126 that revolutionized reading with Kindle and reimagined user experience through Echo and Alexa. We want you to help us build on the success of our first generation of ML accelerator at edge.
Work hard. Have fun. Make history.
Key job responsibilities
Perform board-level rework on SoC development and validation platforms, including component soldering, desoldering, wire modifications, and connector replacements
Set up and operate lab equipment such as DC power supplies, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters, and signal generators for silicon validation and debug
Execute pre-defined test scripts and validation test plans on emulation, prototyping, and early silicon platforms
Assist in silicon bringup activities including power sequencing verification, clock measurement, and basic functional checkout
Build, configure, and maintain lab test setups and prototype hardware platforms
Perform board-level debug under the guidance of senior validation engineers, including probing signals, capturing waveforms, and documenting observations
Maintain lab inventory, manage equipment calibration schedules, and ensure lab safety compliance
Document test results, rework procedures, and debug findings in a clear and structured manner
Support automation of repetitive lab tasks using basic scripting (Python, shell scripts)
Basic Qualifications
3+ years of hardware development, test lab, space/aerospace maintenance or hands-on engineering environment experience
Experience in motherboard design, PCB design including schematic capture, stackup and circuit board layout
Knowledge of tools and measurement devices (oscilloscope, frequency analyzer, or equivalent)
Experience developing high quality test plans, test designs, test strategies, and test execution
Knowledge of concepts like system architecture, optimization, system dynamics, system analysis, statistical analysis, reliability analysis, electronic system design, and decision making
Experience in reading and understanding schematics and building drawings
Experience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities, or experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems
Experience in automation via Bash/shell scripting and Perl/Python programming
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication, or a related discipline
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with post-silicon validation
Familiarity with ARM-based development boards or embedded platforms
Experience with JTAG, SWD, UART, I2C, SPI, or other common debug/communication interfaces
