Scope of the Role
This Product Design Engineer role exists to own display programmes end to end, from concept through mass production and continuous improvement.
Lead the engineering from prototype, through test stores, to full rollout.
Produce production drawings, full drawing packs and own the BOMs.
Design mating plastic parts that survive shrink and warp at volume.
Make the cost and manufacturability trade-offs on tool suites worth over a million dollars.
Travel for installs and supplier visits across the US and overseas.
Key Skills and Experience Required
SolidWorks, used for real production work. Non-negotiable.
Extensive experience as a Product Design Engineer, Development Engineer or Mechanical Engineer in high-volume manufacturing.
A proven track record in injection moulding design, ideally alongside sheet metal.
Sound DFM judgement and the ability to step straight into live programmes.
Point of sale, retail display or high-volume consumer product experience is a real advantage.
