As a Simulator Test Engineer you will be responsible for validating the accuracy, performance, and operability of nuclear plant simulators through rigorous requirements review, testing, and operational execution. This role works hands‑on with simulator systems, procedures, and test artifacts to ensure high‑fidelity plant behavior and traceability across the simulator lifecycle. The position plays a critical role in supporting safe, reliable, and regulatory‑aligned simulator performance.
You will report to the Simulator Supervisor and be located at our Cranberry, PA facility. This is a hybrid role based in Cranberry. No relocation assistance is available for this role.
Key Responsibilities
Participate in all facets of (understand / author / revise / review) system/model requirements/design specifications.
Participate in all facets of testing (author / review / perform test procedures, test data records, and test reports).
Conduct normal reactor plant operations on the simulator (using plant operating procedures) to validate simulator performance.
Participate in all facets of (understand / author / revise / review) system/model requirements traceability.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline
2+ years of experience with simulator operations
SRO certification is preferred
US Navy Nuclear Experience Is Preferred
Proficiency with IBM Rational DOORS is a plus
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $85,200 to $106,500 per year.
