Summary
Celestica Engineering is seeking a highly motivated and self-driven candidate qualified for the position of Signal Integrity Engineer to help design and build market leading Hardware Platform Solutions.
The Signal Integrity Engineer will play a critical role as the subject matter expert in the planning of digital PCB designs, simulation, lab verification, and troubleshooting signal integrity issues on completed designs. They will also be expected to help with design review of critical PCBs for signal integrity concerns. Good communications skills and ability to work with physically dispersed teams is a strong requirement
Detailed Description
Define and develop next-generation hardware systems for networking, server, and storage products.
Deliver highly innovative and creative solutions to sensitive, unusually complex technical challenges.
Act as a lead technical consultant to motivate, direct, and collaborate with cross-functional workgroups.
Maintain a strong customer focus by partnering with clients and suppliers to shape product roadmaps and provide support.
Utilize strong organizational and detail-oriented skills to drive projects and effectively communicate progress toward goals.
Knowledge/Skills/Competencies
Expertise in layout (Allegro), stack-ups, and high-frequency materials with a deep understanding of signal integrity (crosstalk, impedance) up to 50Gbps (NRZ/PAM4).
Proficient with 2D/3D tools (ADS, HFSS, Sigrity) for system-level modeling, analyzing S-parameters, and generating data-eye diagrams for digital and analog interfaces.
Extensive hands-on experience evaluating signal performance using TDR and VNA equipment, including developing custom test fixtures and probing solutions.
Proven ability to balance complex signal path performance with fabrication limitations, material choices, and strict cost constraints.
Typical Experience
10+ years experience with High Speed Signal Delivery Design and Evaluation. This includes both signal integrity within a PCB and off the board (board to board connectors, ribbon cables, coaxial cable, etc.).
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Master’s is preferred
Salary
Base: $200,000- $351,000
