This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a ServiceNow Developer / Administrator in the United States.
This role supports a high-impact federal technology environment focused on enhancing and maintaining a critical ServiceNow platform used to improve operational efficiency, automation, and service delivery. You will be responsible for administering, configuring, and gradually developing platform capabilities while ensuring stability, performance, and data integrity. The position blends hands-on ServiceNow administration with foundational development work, offering strong exposure to scripting, workflows, and integrations. You will collaborate closely with senior engineers to troubleshoot issues, improve platform usability, and support CMDB accuracy and ITSM processes. Working in an Agile environment, you will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and help streamline service operations. This is an opportunity to grow technical depth in ServiceNow while supporting meaningful, large-scale public sector outcomes in a remote-first setting.
Accountabilities
Maintain and support the ServiceNow platform by handling daily administration tasks, service requests, and system monitoring activities to ensure reliability and performance.
Configure and develop basic to intermediate ServiceNow functionality using tools such as Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes, and Flow Designer under senior guidance.
Support CMDB integrity through regular updates, audits, reporting, and data quality improvements aligned with ITIL practices.
Assist in building and maintaining simple integrations using Integration Hub and scripted REST APIs while collaborating with senior developers.
Troubleshoot platform issues, resolve incidents, and escalate complex problems while contributing to root cause analysis and long-term fixes.
Create and maintain clear technical documentation for configurations, workflows, and platform enhancements.
Identify opportunities to improve automation, streamline processes, and enhance platform usability.
Requirements
This role requires hands-on experience supporting or developing on the ServiceNow platform, with a solid understanding of scripting fundamentals and platform architecture. Candidates should bring 3-5+ years of experience working with ServiceNow, including exposure to JavaScript and core modules such as Service Catalog, CMDB, and Flow Designer. Familiarity with ITIL concepts, Agile/Scrum practices, and basic integration principles is expected. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills are essential, along with the ability to communicate clearly and document technical work effectively. A Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification is preferred, along with additional ServiceNow micro-certifications. A collaborative mindset, attention to detail, and ability to work in structured yet evolving environments are key to success in this role.
