Job Description
Provide on site customer support for High Speed IO platforms, supporting system bring up, validation, and debug. This role serves as a technical bridge between customers and MediaTek global engineering teams, enabling successful deployment of MediaTek IPs (SerDes, PCIe, and Die to Die (D2D)) through demos, proof of concepts (PoCs), and customer engagements. SerDes expertise is a plus. Key Responsibilities
Support customer on site platform bring up, configuration, validation, and debug for High Speed IO interfaces
Execute validation checklists, sanity tests, and first level debug for SerDes links
Assist with SerDes link bring up, training, equalization tuning, and margin checks under guidance
Provide support for other High Speed IO interface IPs as needed
Collect, analyze, and correlate logs, registers, and lab measurement data; generate clear field and internal reports
Act as a technical interface between customers and MediaTek global engineering teams
Support issue reproduction, root cause isolation, and execution of debug plans or workarounds
Perform basic signal integrity measurements (eye diagrams, waveform capture) using an oscilloscope
Support demos, PoCs, and customer technical discussions
Maintain interface bring up guides, debug checklists, known issues, and FAQs
Main Requirements and Qualifications
Required Qualifications
1+ years of experience in High Speed IO, system bring up, or hardware validation
Basic understanding of high speed serial signaling concepts (eye diagrams, jitter, channel loss, equalization)
Exposure to link bring up and first level hardware debug (e.g., SerDes or PCIe)
Hands on experience using lab equipment such as oscilloscopes for signal observation
Practical debug experience with system interfaces (e.g., I2C, JTAG)
Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with customers and cross site teams
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with SerDes based interfaces
Experience with PCIe (Gen3 / Gen4 / Gen5) or Die to Die / Chip to Chip interfaces (e.g., UCIe)
Familiarity with characterization tools (BERT, VNA, TDR, protocol analyzers)
Experience supporting EVT or customer labs
Scripting or automation experience (Python, Tcl)
Salary range: $142,000 - $244,000 annually.
Employee may be eligible for performance bonus, short and long term incentive programs. Actual total compensation will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience and qualifications.
