Our people are driven by the desire to make the world a better place—to make a positive difference that contributes to a brighter future. We bring together technologies and industries, alongside the contributions of diverse individuals who are empowered by an intentional workplace culture, to solve problems better and faster.
Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Validation/Test Automation Engineer to work as an individual contributor in the validation of Mark VIe controllers and I/O packs. The role involves developing validation strategies, creating BDD-based automated test suites, executing system-level verification, and supporting defect analysis for both hardware and firmware-related behaviours.
This position requires hands-on experience in test automation, strong understanding of control system validation, and working knowledge of C# and/or C++. Experience with both languages will be considered an added advantage, especially for collaboration across development and test environments.
Roles And Responsibilities
Develop detailed validation plans and test strategies for Mark VIe and I/O pack functionality.
Define and implement BDD-based automated test scenarios to validate expected system behavior.
Use tools such as Reqnroll or SpecFlow for test scenario development and automated execution.
Perform functional, regression, performance, interface, and compatibility testing.
Validate firmware behavior including feature functionality, updates, and baseline verification.
Verify hardware-software interactions and ensure system configurations meet design requirements.
Develop or support test automation utilities, debugging tools, and validation scripts using C# and/or C++.
Analyze test failures, support root cause investigation, and work with development and test teams on issue resolution.
Maintain validation artifacts including test cases, execution reports, traceability, and defect documentation.
Required Skills And Experience
Strong experience in system validation / verification for industrial control systems, embedded products, or hardware-integrated software systems.
Practical experience with BDD frameworks such as Reqnroll or SpecFlow.
Good programming knowledge in C# or C++; knowledge of both is preferred.
Understanding of firmware validation, system configuration validation, and integration testing.
Ability to create structured and maintainable automated test scenarios.
Strong debugging and problem analysis skills.
Familiarity with working in cross-functional development and test environments.
Identify opportunities to improve validation efficiency, automation coverage, and process robustness.
